he chain is now offering beer, wine and light bites in the evening StarbucksThe offerings in the “Starbucks Evenings” program include beer, wine and small plates. When it comes to the subject of Charbucks (er, Starbucks), I usually have a few choice things to say. Like many coffee snobs, I often find the chain’s java to be unpalatable — over-roasted to the point that it can only be saved by adding lots of milk and sugar (or maybe that is the point?). And don’t get me started on Starbucks’ SBUX, -3.09% assortment of milkshake-y drinks and other misuses of the noble seed of the coffee plant. I can count on one hand — actually, one finger — the number of times I’ve tried a Pumpkin Spice Latte. And that was one time too many. So how did I find myself having the time of my life — or at the very least enjoying a pleasant Tuesday-evening respite — at a Starbucks location in the hipster enclave that is Brooklyn’s Williamsburg? (It’s a neighborhood, by the way, where it’s not hard to come by a snob-worthy cup of joe.) That’s easy. I simply switched from coffee to beer. http://www.marketwatch.com/story/will-starbucks-become-the-n...
